Shining Rivers School is an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian school, located in the St. Louis metropolitan area, providing education beginning in early childhood, and is currently enrolling through Grade 4. We are a developing school member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA).

The Waldorf curriculum that began with the work of Rudolf Steiner (quoted above), is a unique philosophy employing an approach that addresses the whole child: head, heart and hands. The integrated curriculum presents developmentally appropriate concepts an atmosphere of respect for each child’s uniqueness. This balanced, comprehensive education integrates academic achievement with hands-on experience in an artistic environment. Humanities and sciences are blended with art, languages, music, movement, handwork and practical activities to meet the needs of the developing child.
